Bond Deck Gallery
Homeowners came to us well educated in knowing what they wanted. But as most do, they knew what they wanted, but didn't quite know where to start or how to do it. The client was a retired engineer, and was a stickler for the details. We went hand and hand, because after a short period of time, he found out that we we're as well.
This deck was constructed from an exotic hardwood from Brazil called Cumaru, and sometimes referred to Brazilian Teak. Its in a category of woods defined as Iron Wood for its density. It's so heavy and dense, it will not float. Considered to be in the top 10 hardest woods in the world. And because of the hardness, the installation process is much more demanding than anything you pick up off the shelf at Lowes. But the finish is beautiful and if you're like me and love the smell that some woods emit, than you'll love Cumaru. Even a year after the install, the homeowners still say that every time they walk out on the deck, it still has a "brand new" smell to it.
Fortunately for you, it doesn't matter to us if your'e a retired engineer, a doctor or a janitor, for us to approach every job as we do. Whether you know it all, or know nothing, our approach is always the same. To give you the best we can for the budget you have to work with.
